Thought Under The Influence: "If It Hadn't Been For Love" by Adele

This chorus is PHENOMENAL.
Something about it so beyond satisfying for me and while stoned one sunny saturday
I attempted to pin the image of the sound itself down to words.

Chorus Breakdown of
If It Hadn't Been For Love by Adele

splintered wood
fragments shoot
up into
a grand sheet of
some deep red
silk
with running force
until they become
one
swift
feminine
vessel
with a voluminous
serpentine
silk skin
smooth. deep.
brassy light
in tight sharp lines
run parallel,
intersecting
only occasionally.
upon that collision
the brass lines
flare into
benign chromium
sheets of piercing
neon-
like a steel sunflower
unfurling
then melting back to
sharp, true lines.
